Christmas Artwork Returns / Key Postal dates...
Just a note to say please return your artwork and photos for processing by the date we have agreed if at all possible, and by our recommend Christmas artwork return deadline of 31 October. Whilst we are able to continue to process artwork into November (and do so for late returns), we recommend the return of artwork by the end of October as parents usually start chasing their cards mid-November, especially if posting overseas by surface mail. Returning the artwork in October will ensure parents are not anxiously awaiting the return of their ordered items.

Please note the key Christmas postal dates in 2009 are as follows:

  • UK First Class Letter Post – Sat 20 December
  • UK Second Class Letter Post – Thurs 18 December
  • UK Standard Parcel Post – Mon 15 December
  • International Airmail – 5th to 12th December subject to location
  • International Surface Mail - 1st October to 24 November subject to location
  • Worldwide Parcelforce – 8th to 23rd December subject to service type

For more information about posting dates in specific countries for 2009 visit the Royal Mail Website.

Fat-Chilli cards are kind to the environment - with no compromise on quality...
The lovely Fat-Chilli school Christmas cards are all made from FSC certified paperboard, which means it is guaranteed that none of the earth’s natural forest resources were damaged in the creation of our greetings cards, the supply chain is certified by the FSC.

The board used in the Fat-Chilli board is made from 80% recycled wood pulp, and 20% sustainable forest sourced wood pulp in a high quality weight.  There is no discernable difference in quality between ‘certified’ and ‘non-certified’ paper board, but generally FSC certified board is more expensive.

We have also taken steps to ensure the materials used in our packaging are as environmentally friendly as possible, and we are continuing to make adjustments to improve this aspect. For more details on the materials used in our products please see our environmental page.

Visit the FSC website for more information.
